Ira T. Wines talks about growing up in a ranching family, in Elko County Nevada, learning by watching his father (and other cowboys) and by doing. He talks about managing the Ellison’s Spanish Ranch and the yearly work cycle. Ira talks about his family; who live part time at the ranch (summer) and part time in town (school year). He talks about ranching today and he thoughts about ranching in the future, including issues with environmental groups.
